Residents of Coseley strongly oppose a transit traveller site to be developed on Budden Road
Petition has closed and a response from the council has been published.

We the undersigned petition the council to reconsider and to immediately withdraw plans to develop a "temporary transit traveller site" on Budden Road, Coseley following a number of concerns that have been raised by local residents and businesses including those that neighbour the site directly.

Some of these concerns include, but are not limited to, contamination of the proposed site, concerns regarding an increase in anti-social behaviour in the immediate area, decrease in property value, increase in insurance premiums (potentially property and vehicle).

The importance of a transit site is recognised but the undersigned are strongly against the development of such a site on this proposed land as it is so close to residential property, and the area of Coseley is already being deprived of assets and is slowly becoming a place where people no longer want to live.
